At Hitherfield School, we believe that fostering integrity, tolerance, and acceptance empowers our students to contribute positively to the global community with compassion and respect.
With the support of parents, our dedicated staff inspire students to flourish as confident, independent learners who are eager to achieve their personal best in a rapidly evolving world.
Our program is both challenging and engaging, recognizing each child as a unique individual with distinct strengths, talents, and interests that we nurture and cultivate.
Hitherfield students learn in a safe, supportive, and joyful environment—one that encourages curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
Established 1991
Hitherfield students have a great opportunity to gain leadership experience. At school, we instill the necessary values in students that will allow them to be effective and eager leaders. Through various positions, such as running for House Captain, being a club leader, or becoming a Bus Monitor, Hitherfield offers endless opportunities for students to build confidence in their leadership and abilities.
We believe that education should take into account everything students experience during each moment of their time at school.
Students JK-Gr.8 present their “May Plays” over the course of four nights. Production performances help students gain confidence in public speaking and teach about effort, cooperation, and commitment. Drama encourages your child to take creative liberties they might have never thought possible. See your child’s confidence in front of an audience flourish. This play incorporates all students with the eldest having the most demanding roles and the younger children having carefully choreographed routines with lines.
Students from JK to Grade 8 enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the scenic trails of our property. They also participate in sports tournaments through the SSAF and engage in various athletic activities throughout the year as part of the Hitherfield Physical Education program.
Students in JK to Grade 3 take swimming lessons at Making Waves in Milton, while those in Grade 4 to Grade 8 participate in weekly rock climbing sessions as part of their physical education curriculum.
